I grew up in a family of musicians: both my father and my siblings have always been and still are involved in music clubs. So I was also musically involved at an early age, but initially only as a listener. Since folk music is not really my cup of tea, I was very happy when I discovered rock music for myself.
That’s also how I got into bass. Shortly after that I was able to form my first band with a couple of buddies.
A few years later I discovered my passion for drumming – basically both are rhythm instruments for me.
Slowly Symphonic Rock and Power Metal became my favorite music and actually I wanted to make such music myself. Unfortunately I never found the right comrades-in-arms in theese days.
After a few smaller band experiments I founded the power trio „Schlimmer Badeunfall“. After a gig at a talent contest the bass player of „Epitome of Frail“ asked me if I was still looking for a band… and there I was as a drummer.
That was my entry into metal in 2003. And here it went off immediately – more heaviness, more needed playing skills and more audience. Some crazy years followed with a lot of concerts and support slots for some greats of the hardcore and metal scene.
As a contrast, I then founded the 3-man garage rock project „Bucks and Birds“, where I played more rock or funk based grooves as a drummer.
After these excursions on the drums I decided to pick up my bass again.
At some point my buddy Darius asked me if I knew another bass player for his new band. I didn’t know he played guitar and he didn’t know I was a bass player. And so I joined the thrash machine „Blood Fueled Engine“ in 2011 and am still active with the guys today.
Sometime in 2016 I got a mail from Anna asking me if I would like to do a second project.
So she send me the first „Timeless Rage“ EP „Forecast“ and I was immediately excited. After a first meeting I joined immediately and a little later we played our first festival together. That’s how I came to my favorite music in the end.

Ich bin in einer Musikerfamilie aufgewachsen: sowohl mein Vater als auch meine Geschwister waren immer schon und sind bis heute in Musikvereinen unterwegs. So war auch ich schon früh musikalisch involviert, aber vorerst nur als Zuhörer.
Da Volksmusik nicht wirklich mein Fall ist, war ich sehr froh, als ich die Rockmusik für mich entdeckte.
So kam ich auch zum Bass. Kurz darauf konnte ich dann auch mit ein paar Kumpels meine erste Band gründen.
Ein paar Jahre später habe ich dann meine Leidenschaft für das Schlagzeugspielen entdeckt – Im Grunde sind das für mich beides Rhythmus-Instrumente.
So langsam wurden Symphonic Rock und Power Metal zu meiner Lieblingsmusik und eigentlich wollte ich solche Musik auch selber machen. Leider fand ich hierfür damals nie die richtigen Mitstreiter.
Nach ein paar verschiedenen kleineren Band-Experimenten gründete ich irgendwann das Powertrio „Schlimmer Badeunfall“. Nach einem Auftritt bei einem Talentwettbewerb sprach mich der Bassist von „Epitome of Frail„ an, ob ich denn noch eine Band suche… und schon war ich als Drummer dabei.
Das war 2003 mein Einstieg in den Metal. Und hier ging es sofort ab – sowohl von der Härte, vom Spielerischen als auch vom Publikum her. Es folgten einige irre Jahre mit vielen Konzerten und Support-Slots für einige Größen der Hardcore- und Metal-Szene.
Als Kontrast gründete ich danach das 3-Mann Garage-Rock Projekt „Bucks and Birds“, wo ich als Drummer eher rockig oder funky spielte.
Nach diesen Ausflügen an die Drums beschloss ich wieder meinen Bass in die Hand zu nehmen.
Irgendwann fragte mich mein Kumpel Darius, ob ich denn nicht noch einen Basser für seine neue Band kenne. Ich wusste nicht, dass er Gitarre spielte und er wusste nicht, dass ich Basser bin. Und so stieg ich 2011 bei der Thrash-Maschine „Blood Fueled Engine“ ein und bin mit den Jungs bis heute aktiv.
Irgendwann 2016 kam dann eine Mail von Anna, die mich fragte, ob ich nicht Lust auf ein Zweitprojekt hätte.
So schicke sie mir die erste „Timeless Rage“ EP „Forecast“ und ich war sofort begeistert. Nach einem ersten Treffen war ich sofort dabei und wenig später spielten wir unser erstes Festival zusammen. So kam ich dann doch noch zu meiner Lieblingsmusik.
