My musicality was already put in my cradle by my dad. He was a musician through and through. I started learning the first instruments at an early age. However, these were in a folk music genre at home.
My love for music of the harder and melodic kind was shaped by my unique family and especially by my brother.
When I was about 5 years old, he put me in front of the speakers in our room and blasted SAXXON, HALLOWEEN, IRON MAIDEN and everything that made the ground shake at that time. His quote was „you listen to this music until you need a coffin, otherwise I’ll beat the crap out of you…. “
(Quote from my dad: „Turn off this monkey music…“).
Yes, those were formative experiences….
I came to the guitar rather accidentally, when I founded the first band with friends.
Many years followed in the cover band jungle. That was a brilliant time, which shaped me very much and was also a lot of fun.
Since this cover projects ran out of steam eventually and I wanted to make my own music for a long time, I looked around for a new musical challenge.
When I then found the vacant guitarist position in TIMELESS RAGE, it was quickly clear to both sides that it was a perfect fit.
It was a great start and I was lucky that I could participate in the reinvention and the musical direction of the band and also that we could quickly draw attention to ourselves with the EP „Forecast“. Technically, I had to get my skills up with the genre change, as I quickly realized that a decade of „doing it by the book“ in cover rock wasn’t enough to play power metal at 200 bpm.
Now I am proud – even after many stumbles – to present the album Untold in today’s band TIMELESS RAGE.
To determine favorite songs of TIMELESS RAGE is hard for me, because I think all of them are great.
Every song has its highlights and therefore becomes unique.
My favorite bands that inspire me until today are:
HAMMER FALL, DREAM THEATER, HALLOWEEN. Symphony X, and of course all the classics from melodic heavy and power metal…

Meine musikalische Ader wurde mir bereits durch meinen Dad in die Wiege gelegt. Er war ein Vollblut-Musiker durch und durch. Ich habe bereits in frühen Jahren angefangen die ersten Instrumente zu lernen. Diese waren jedoch in einem volkstümlichen Genre zu Hause.
Meine Liebe zur Musik der härteren und melodischen Gangart wurde durch meine einzigartige Familie und besonders durch meinen Bruder geprägt.
Dieser hatte mich als ich ca. 5 Jahre alt war in unserem Zimmer vor die Boxen gesetzt und mir SAXXON, HALLOWEEN, IRON MAIDEN und alles was damals den Boden beben ließ um die Ohren geknallt. Sein Zitat war „diese Musik hörst Du, bis Du in die Kiste hüpfst, sonst hau ich Dich windelweich… “

Ja das waren prägende Erlebnisse….
Zur Gitarre kam ich eher zufällig, als ich mit Freunden die erste Band gründete.
Es folgten viele Jahre im Coverband Dschungel. Das war eine geniale Zeit, die mich sehr prägte und auch viel Spaß gemacht hat.
Da dies dann etwas eingeschlafen ist und ich schon länger eigene Musik machen wollte, habe ich mich nach einer neuen musikalischen Herausforderung umgesehen.
Als ich dann den freien Gitarristen-Posten bei TIMELESS RAGE gefunden habe, war für beide Seiten schnell klar, dass es perfekt passt.
Es war ein super Einstieg und mega, dass ich bei der Neuerfindung und der musikalischen Ausrichtung der Band mitwirken konnte und wir schnell mit der EP Forecast auf uns aufmerksam machen konnten.
Technisch musste ich mich durch den Genre-Wechsel ganz schön auf den Hosenboden setzen, da ich schnell gemerkt habe, dass Jahrzehnte langer „Dienst nach Vorschrift“ im Coverrock Bereich nicht ausreicht, um bei 200 bpm Powermetal zu spielen.
Nun bin ich stolz – auch nach vielen Stolpersteinen – in der heutigen Band TIMELESS RAGE das Album Untold präsentieren zu dürfen.
Lieblingsongs von TIMELESS RAGE zu bestimmen ist für mich schwer, da ich alle super finde.
Jeder Song hat seine Highlights und wird dadurch einzigartig.
